Union Missionary Baptist Church Food Pantry

“He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor.”                                                                     Proverbs 22:9

The purpose of the Union M. B. Church food pantry is to dispense food and toiletry items to the Bloomington-Normal community. 

For countless people in our community, hunger is a daily reality. The food pantry staff works very hard to accommodate requests for food and other needed items. The pantry is located at 505 W. Jackson Street and is open weekdays by appointment only. Appointments can be made by calling the church at (309) 828-1162. 

The food pantry was started by Sister Jeanine Bush Johnson and continued operating under Sister Joyce Rusk. It is now managed by Sister Jennifer Rusk and staff.  

Items for the pantry are supplied by the Midwest Food Bank, donations from church members, and a private foundation.
